J. Barnes & Company was founded as Madison-Old Hickory Insurance in 1954 in Madison, TN. The Independent Agency served the surrounding areas indicative of the agency’s name sake for decades providing Fire, Auto, Business and Life Insurance to the community while gaining a reputation for honesty and expertise.

Today J. Barnes & Company is based in Goodlettsville, Tennessee. Continuing to grow with a focus on knowledge and experience J. Barnes & Company has established itself well in the Commercial Insurance and Personal Lines Insurance markets. We are licensed in Tennessee, Kentucky, Florida, and North Carolina.
